Its been awhile since I last had to do this, but I have a G4 powerbook that I need to transfer some large files to and on the MAC website is says that I do not need a crossover cable to connect another machine to it directly - to connect my Win XP Pro machine to the G4 directly, can I use a standard Ethernet cable, or does it need to be a crossover?

In appreciation,
Ryan

I have a MAC G4 on our PC LAN using CAT5, no crossover. However, I use DAVE (MAC software) in order to see the MAC in Network Places, Workgroup. Not sure if that's required for XP, but it is with Win9x. In either case, we can file transfer to/from the MAC.

Getting answers before I'm asked.
Providing answers if I can.
