I am wondering can I run out of my sound card on my pc via rca cables to my 5.1 home theater system. I want to play games on my pc with the audio coming out of the home theater unit.

You'll need a mini to Y cable, plugged into the "Aux out". Plug in the RCA cables to the Y. The only thing to watch out for, some audio boards use the "aux out" socket (on the board) for the rear speakers on the computer setup. If you do have problems, make sure the computer is set up for "stereo speakers" and not "quad".
