PC Slowness

I am not sure if this is the right forum for this but I have a PC question.

My home PC is currently running Windows 98 and I am having problems with my applications and my son's games being installed on this PC. Is there any PC software I can try to "clean up" the problems that I am having with my PC.

What software? What problems? Need more info to see what you are asking. We have some great tech's here, but none can read minds!
