PC shutsdown when saving in Office2000

I have a dual boot PC with 98 and 2000. When i try and save some work to floppy disk in Win2000 using Office2000 the PC actually shuts itself down. The problem does not exist in Win98 (still using office2000). I have checked to see if the floppy driver is win2000 compatible which it is. Anyone come accross this before?
