Greetings.

I just recently inherited a PC Server 330 (8640). I was wondering what upgrade options are available. For instance, can I put a new motherboard in it, graphics card, hard drive, etc.?

I am a software person, and am embarassingly deficient in my hardware knowledge, so any help will be much appreciated!

Not really anything available...everything concerning the system board is proprietary....video is built in....And since it's a server,no agp port. Don't need one on a server, case will only take the system board that's in it. unless you want to get out a dremel tool or nibbler...

What you want to do with it?

I have one running with 384Mb RAM, two pentium II 233Mhz processors.
It is currently working on W2K advanced server as a print en file server. works really good because of the all on board SCSI controllers and the hot swappable drives.

If you want to upgrade it within the limits of the currnent hardware, look on ebay, a lot of parts are being sold there. Mine came with only one processor and 128Mb, and upgrading it to two processors costed not that much.

regards,
Robert
