PC-related data performance issues

I am having a data performance issue that I'm absolutely sure is related to the PC that CR is installed on. I am running CR9 with an ODBC SQL connection on Windows XP Pro with 1 GB RAM and plenty of hard drive space, and a solid T1 line internet connection. When other PCs are connected to the same ethernet port, the data reads lighting fast in CR, you can't even count how many records it's reading per second in the lower right corner of CR.
But with this PC, it reads only about 60 records per second, regardless of the nature (i.e. formulas, sub-reports, etc.) of the report that is being run. Are there any settings in the Windows Data Source Administrator I should change that might help improve the speed of CR reading records on this PC? Or any other settings in Windows?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks...

Hi,
Check the space in that PCs TEMP directory.

Check/compare versions of the ODBC drivers and its settings.

Also try a ping from that PC to the Datasource's location and compare transit times witht he other, faster PCs..

I cleared the Windows Temp folder, no effect. ODBC drivers are the same. Would available memory be a factor? I have 1 GB, but only about 150MB of physical memory is usually available?

Hi,
Could well be that - CR uses memory and the TEMP folder to hold incomplete data until all are retreived - if the memory has to swap out to virtual it can slow things down to a crawl ( and in some cases cause the report to fail completely)
