PC performance

I'm looking for some software that will be installed on XP clients that will monitor the system performance and report back to a central database, a bit like MOM 2005 but for desktop clients. I know that theoretically MOM2005 could do it, but have never heard of anyone trying it before.

Any ideas or suggestions?
