I have an employee who cannot connect to a shared drive on a server using \\ipaddress\d$\. I can connect as can others in his department, what are some possible settings that I need to look for on his pc to enable a connection? All thoughts and tips are greatly appriciated.

PC not connecting to a share drive

Make sure his PC is configured with correct IP, netmask, DNS and gateway, you can use ipconfig in command prompt to check.
Also check any firewall (Windows firewall, antivirus firewall, etc) enabled on his PC, the firewall will need to be configured to share file/folder.
