PC Name Deleted in AD: GUID

Hello All - Hope all is well.
A newly added PC to domain was deleted from the Default Computers container about two days ago. I had been logging in to the domain for a few hours before it was deleted & now no account can't login to the domain on this PC & this makes sense of course. Question, I don't believe the computers needs to be reinstalled but by adding the PC to a workgroup & then readding to domain, will this allow a new GUID to be created & therefore actually join the PC to the domain again?

Yes this is correct or in AD you can prestage the computer account
