Is there a way of monitoring the monitoring on your PC, whether it be by big brother or any other remote source that may be by stealth monitoring the PC.

Best Regards

If I understood your question correctly, you want to see if someone is monitoring your pc, whether it is your IT department, or someone installed a backdoor, correct?

If it is your IT department, I do not recommend trying to circumvent their processes, that can lead to a pink slip. However ... Depending on the software that they use (and there is some really sneaky stuff out), you may not be able to detect that it is there without some serious digging. Some things you could check for a backdoor is odd activity, things suddenly opening and closing, check your event logs, and so on, checking netstat for connections to IP addresses that you do not have anything to do with, and so on.
