Hello,

I'm having some trouble watching my PC on both TV and the PC monitor.

Until a few days ago, everything was fine. On both TV and monitor I got the same image, and when I turned on a videofile on the PC it would show up fullscreen on the TV.

Now I have bought myself a sweet 19' LCD flat screen. I have not touched any of the video settings, and now I get a black screen on the TV. Sound plays just fine.

In the display options, it still recognizes my TV but I can't seem to get both screens to work together. In the Display-tab I see that the monitor is highlighted Red. When I click it to become active, the PC screen becomes red.
I can then watch on the TV, but the PC turns black.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance

when you bought the new monitor, did it have a different connection to the computer (ex. old had vga cable, new has dvi cable). If so then you will have to reconfigure it through the video properties. should be a piece of cake. I believe its the standard video setting of the tv. I believe in the us its ntsc.

What is the resolution of the old monitor settings, and the required resolution of the flatscreen?
