Hello,

I have user with Windows 2000 and IE6 and he can't access any secure web-sites.

Now in XP there's a couple of things you can do like re-registering some IE dlls and there's a registry fix that can sometimes do the trick, but I haven't been able to figure out this customer's dilema.

I'm checking to see if he has a firewall, but I don't think he does.

Any suggestions or things I can check??

Hi cwyman

You could try using firefox or any other web browser?

Just a thought.

Unfortunately one of the web based apps doesn't run on Firefox so we can't test that theory, but I will have him check to see if he can log into his bank through Firefox.

I found out that he has Norton Internet Security and Norton System works and he reportedly had trouble with these two product around the same time that his secure website issue show up.

I'm having my associate try to look at the firewall settings and then if that doesn't work then have them disable the firewall, if not we may have him remove all of his Norton products to see if that clears up the problem.

Also, we've tried to reinstall IE6.0 on this machine and that too did not fix the problem.

Keeping you up to date!!
