This is a new PC, within a few weeks old... Just last week it was being repaired for something, not even sure yet. But it's back and was working fine, but now, every 35 minutes or so I get an error message stating something to the affect of:
"Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
and also included is *something* like:
"RPC service terminated unexpectedly... NT authority system" - then it gives me :55 seconds to finish up my work in progress and it boots up again, sometimes with the SAME message upon startup again.
Before you offer suggestions, I have ran all of the latest antivirus scans, all with the most up to date scan engines and pattern files.
- Spybot with the latest engine found nothing.
- A port scan on myself revealed no suspicious ports open [ie: 139 for attacks etc..]
- My Registry, under RUN and RUN once [etc] found nothing out of the ordinary.
- My "processes" all look normal as well, nothing out of the normal in there...
This could be a stupid Q... but is it possible the technician [who's name is STILL on my PC as admin.] be "playing" with me from a remote location?
Because from what I see everything else checks out fine, I hope someone can help, these error messages are driving me nuts and to have to reformatt a 3 week old PC three times in 3 weeks would drive me nuts.....
thanks in advance...
