PC Client database

I'am using ArcServe ver. 6.1 to back up a novell 4.1 server and some NT and win 95/98 workstations. I had to reinstall the software a while back and now when I check the PC clients database there are no clients. In the past I remember they would show up when introduced to the network and all I had to do was edit their user information. How do I get this feature back. I can add them in manually which I did with the servers but would be a large project for all the users.
