Hi,

I backuped my C: drive contents to a external storage. My PC is named xyz, but incidentally the external storage drive already has a name xyz and already has files (say file 1- file 100). The backup process automatically xyz as the backup file name and writes backup stuff to it. Fil1 1 to file 100 in xyz folder are still there simply based on the free space information. But I can explore the folder like I used to or move and copy those file 1 to file 100. Can I extract those files to a different location? Or can I undo the backup and restore the external storage to its original form? Thanks

Please ignore my question. I plugged in a linux machine, the files are free to be moved again. I can not tell you how much i loath PC when comes to file management. it is confusing as hell and takes all the freedom away. A big mess.
