I have PC Anywhere 10.05 on two machines running win 2000
I am trying to dial into the host machine via a modem connection. The Host modem rings and answers and then the remote pc states its disconnecting due to the line being busy.

It does this every time i try. I have checked the login details and they are correct. Is tehre some incompatabilty with the modems ?, the host is using a creative blaster modem and the remote a Intel (r) 536EP.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

In the properties of your modem you should be able to put in extra initialitazion commands. In windows 2000 you go into the control panel, phone and modem options, modem, properties, advanced. In there, put: X3
This will keep the modem from checking for a busy signal.
