My laptop doesn't have a serial port. I do have a keyspan adapter and use this to connect to magix systems in conjunction with a self built 355 (9 pin to RJ45). The partner PC admin program doesn't list a com port that I need. My usb to serial adapter can, of course, only connect to my usb ports (5-9). Is there an update to the software that I don't know about or am I forced to use an extension and connect with a modem. When is avaya going to allow us to connect via ethernet as in the IP office?

That was my biggest complaint when I first used the software. Luckily I carry a remote access card with me, so it wasn't a problem.
