I setup a site to remotely access their system through PC administration. I updated the labels for extensions and added a line to VMS AA coverage. Now I am being told that all lines ring on all extensions on a system that was originally setup as a Key system. What do I need to change so calls only ring at extension 10??

Thanks in advance.

I have realized that PC Administration set all lines on all extensions to 'immdeiate ring', not the original setting of 'no ring'.

Anyway to prevent this in the future?

That will do it every time. Read the quick access chart notes at the back of the manual before performing a task until you are more familiar with the Partner. #104 is used for initial setup only.
Another thing to check is your programming before you send the translation to the switch. Check your write protected translation to see what you downloaded from the switch. The original should still be on your PC.

Even in the remote access software, if you change the number of lines on the System>General Parameters screen, you will automatically assign that number of lines to every extension, with immediate ring, on buttons 1 through whatever.

Go back to the file you orignally downloaded from the site, and make the changes by going to the extension's button programming screen, click on the button, select the line/pool assignment tab, and set the ringing assignment for that line and extension. The new line will be placed at the end of the auto line selection sequence.

Once you make the changes, save it again, upload and restore it into your site's switch, and you should be good.
