CM 10.2. We have CareAware spectralink handheld phones, connected via SIP trunks in SM. There is a rollover message followed by U.S.-standard-ringtone. They are saying that The PBX is sending a "180 Ringing" message with an SDP, which is telling us to set up pre-answer media with the PBX, where the PBX will provide ringback audio. They would like this to be without SDP and allow them to provide the recording and ringback. Now I have changed the trunk group setting "convert 180 to 183 for early media to N and this made no difference. I then changed some of the direct IP to IP on the signaling groups to N, and that made no difference. I am at a loss on how to send without SDP. I am not seeing anything in session manager with the entity or adaptation referencing SDP. I can see in traces the content type is application/sdp. There is no SBC involved.
Basically what is happening is someone calls the spectralink, they do not answer, they have a rollover feature that says the user is not available, we are transferring you, then it rolls that call to the rollover number (which is an avaya deskphone), but it is doing early media and the recording doesn't play, we are sending directly to the Avaya.
I have really exhausted what I know in this area. So looking for some guidance? Thanks!
