I have a customer using a PBX extender 7000 and a Gateway 7000 on ethernet over a wireless link. Now they want to move it to a point to point T1. The units don't have T1 cards in them, so what would be the least cost method of turning the point to point into an ethernet link. They will be using all 24 channels for voice.

If the T-1 is dedicated for the MCK it would probably be cheapest to use the serial/wan ports to tie them together rather than buying routers and converting to IP. I think the 7000 series has the dsu built in, so that would save on purchasing that also.

annacat is right you could purchase a pair of CSU/DSU units and connect the PBX gateway and Extender 7000 via the WAN/serial ports on the back of the units. Just be sure that you specify how much bandwitdh you will be using on the CSU/DSU units and one the MCK units.

The full T1 would be used, so that would be 24-64kb channels or 1,536kb. Do the MCK units handle that much bandwidth?

Yes, you can set the bandwidth on the units for exactly 1536kb.
