Hi all,
We have a reporting application developed in PB6.5 (do not have source but just PBDs). Its currently talking to Oracle 7.3 through O73 native driver.
We would like to upgrade databsae to Oracle 9i. Need to make necessary changes to PB application INI file.
At many place I have read that using O84 native driver and oracle 8.0.5 driver this can be achieved. When I use O84 driver, it gives error (something like) Ordinal 8264 not found in DLL PBVM60. How do we resolve it.
Alternatively, when I try connecting to Oracle 9i using ODB and ODBC DSN (using Oracle driver) it gives error (ORA-01400, trying to INSERT in one of the very initail application tables). So its connects but SQLs are not translated correctly (?)
When I try connecting to Oracle 7.3 same way I get same error. So i think I am not setting ODBC connection in PB correctly.
(Both DSNs when tested outside PB works fine)
(Due to some reason, i am not able to create and test DSN with MS driver for Oracle.)
Any help in this regards will be really appriciated.
Thanks
Sameer
