pb report B.O. 5.1 with excel 2000 / win 2000

Hello all !

I'm not an "daily-user" of B.O., I'm really a "newbie", but I've a problem with.

Before, I worked on B.O. 5.1 with excel 97 (windows 95).
Now, I've win 2000 with excel 2000 and still B.O. 5.1.

It works ! But when I want to export on excel 2000 more than 30 000 lines, it's not working. (no problem when I was on excel 97).

Why ? Do I must "upgrade" my B.O. version ? Or it's a kind of bug on excel 2000, or windows 2000 ?

Are you sure?

The limitation is a Microsoft one. BO uses the DAO to do it's export. DAO had a limitation.

Try upgrading your MDAC version and see what happens.

I install MDAC 2.8, but it's same pb.

The message is: "the spreadsheet is full (3437)".
The message is in french, but I hope it's same in english.

After this message, when I click on "OK" I have another message: "export failed! (DMA0005)".

What can I do ?

Export as text and give the file a .tab extension. Then use that as the way to import into Excel. Then you won't have a problem.
