Pattern Swatches do not print from Acrobat 1

After I have distilled an illustrator EPS into a PDF, I am unable to print any pages which feature a pattern swatch.

Has anyone else encountered the same issue, and is there a way around this? (other than making a jpeg of the page to print :s )

I'll have to look into the details tomorrow but I helped someone a while ago with an odd swatch problem that I suspect was related to yours...

In the mean time, does it work if you expand the patterns before saving the pdf? Also, why not go directly from ai format to pdf, as opposed to exporting an eps?

Thanks, expanding the pattern swatch seems to have gotten around the issue.

Kinda makes the pupose of the swatch redundant, though.
