I have a complex image in photoshop (a DNA/helix). Right now it's straight. What would be the best way to bend it into a shape. For instance a pretzel? Are paths the way to go? I assume illustrator is better for the job than Photoshop. Or would just drawing the thing into the shape I want the way to go?

Thanks.

I think twisting a Photoshop file in Illustrator would be difficult. If you originate the artwork in Illustrator, and stick with vectors rather than bitmaps, you should be able to create an art brush out of your drawing. Then you can draw with it to create any shape you want.
