Path Voicemail DND pre message

Hi, I'm sure i saw the answer to this on tek-tips before but cant find it searching.

Using embedded voicemail for an ACD path which out of hours is placed in DND by the 6115 the embedded voicemail plays a pre message stating that "Im sorry mailbox name is currently on the phone" presumably because the path is unavailable.

How do i set it so that the normal voicemail message alone is played (from what i remember its in the admin mailbox).

When I associate VM with a path I always create a phantom extension that routes to the path. This allows you to have an associated message lamp (of the phantom). When the path routes to VM or is in DND or all agents are logged out (Unavailable) the call will integrate with the phantom extension MB without the "extension is busy" message.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I presume you would use a hunt group or something similer with a call reroute 1st alternative to the path and 2nd to voicemail.

The only Issue with this is that I have a large number of paths (57 on the switch for this office) and the call reroute would limit the max number of paths availble.

I read some where that you could swap the busy message to the normal message on voicemail from the admin mailbox but cant find that article now...

Actually I would typically use a Phantom Key appearance or Spare analog port. This allows for a message waiting indicator if required.

Call forwarding can be used instead of call reroute if you are concerned about reroute limits. I'm not sure why you feel 57 paths would exceed any limits I know of.

I've never played with the custom greetings so I cant advise on the feasibility.
