I imported some .avi-movies in a director movie which is part of a big Director-project.
As long as I dont change the path, the movies are played, but if I burn the project on a CD-ROM, everytime I want to play one of the movies, I have to enter the path to the movie again manually.
According to another answer, I put the whole project in the root-file of my harddisk before i burnt it and recompiled it, but it didn't work out. Is there I a 'hidden property' i forgot to set?

You have to make sure that you are maintaing the relative paths and not the absolute paths. For that lookup "searchpaths" in the help. Also if your using external casts, make sure you set the filename of the cast using it's filename property and "moviePath" to properly link the external casts.
