Path of documents ?

Is it possible to see the path of the documents next to the author or date modified when you perform a search?
e.g. when you search for 'test' you get all the documents relevant to your search and next to the title you see the path of the document.
I thought about adding an attribute to the document profile but the the author would have to fill in the path himself and I don't want this.
Any suggestions?
