Once again please help I have exported Microsoft Access database to VB.Net database and i worked fine but when i copy both of the databases one in Access and other on VB/net to a different workstation. When i try to load data it gives me an error: file path is invalid or the name of the file is spelled incorretly.

Sorry to be really clueless about this,I keep getting the same error: path not valid when i try to load data on different workstation. How i can i fix this?

I'm assuming that you are using a network to store your .mdb; is this true?

Otherwise you would have to have multiple instances of the .mdb, include it with your deployment setup, and then pull the data back at a different time.

The problem might be that if your network drive is say, F:, many newer PCs have partitioned drives, and one of them may be F:

A way around this is if you use the full share name. In our case, it is \\srv\shared\foldername\subdirectory\filename.

Another thought is to put the .mdb in your application.startuppath (usually \bin\) and simply share the application with your workstations via a shortcut link. You will probably have to change the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Wizards (or 2.0 if you're using version vb.Net 2005) [control panel\administrative tools\Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Wizards] security for your intranet to allow everything as safe.

I hope this helps.
