I have a DELL E6400 w\ 4GB RAM running W7 Pro \Office 2010. Then machine throughout the week is left on the docking station and powered off at night. In the morning the user turns on the machine and will go to check his mail and Outlook hangs until they are forced to Task Manager and kill the Outlook session. Then once he restart Outlook they get their mail but each time an email with an attachment is opened Outlook hangs. After about an hour of time the system and Outlook completely acts as expected. All hanging in Outlook, opening Outlook, opening attachments are all speedy. I have looked at the configuration of his Outlook along with our Exchange Admin. His cache mode settings and configurations are correct. To where is sounds like an Outlook issue we do not feel it is. We cannot access any event logs. Attempting to access the logs hangs the machine. I found a folder path the is: C:\Users\flindsay\AppData\Local\Application Data wiht the Application Data repeating 12 times containing Temp Internet File, Dump files from Adobe, Outlook, Excel.... and items from within the roaming directory.
Why are we seeing layers of the Application Data folder? What could be causing this dump and instability when the machine is cold?
Thoughts?
