Hi Guys,

Just patching a new system and noticed this on BCM4.0 SU-14

The dependecy for SU-14 is

BCM.R400.160-SoftwareManagement or later must be applied before this update

The dependecy for BCM.R400.160-SoftwareManagement is

BCM.R400.SU.System.005 or later version. The dependency patch should be applied first.

My question is SU.System.005 is no longer available. How is this dependency relevant. Doesn't seem to make much sense ?

Anybody got any views ?

Just install SU-Desktop 9 then SU-System 14 and it will work.
Once Desktop 9 is installed, install the first patch of SU14(the management one) then you'll be able to load the second patch.

I just did this yesterday on a new system.
Forget about it.
Install the latest SU Desktop, then the SU System.
The SU System has the 160 Software Management wrapped up in it. Load the Software Management first. After it completes load the SU System.
No problems encountered at all.

Thanks guys, that's what I thought. Worked fine. The documentation seems quite contradictory though, wouldn't you agree.
