I am unabe to add a patch because i have a newer version already installed. How do i force this patch to be applied?

Use patchrm to remove the new patch, this will not work if the original patch was applied with the no backout option.

nolim073;

My suggestion is to do a patchrm of the patch currently installed and then do your patchadd of the patch you want.

You may be able to force it to backrev but I have never seen that done. Maybe someone else has done this.
