Yes !

Patch: Patch number-Revision
Obsoletes: With this patch the patchs on this list gets obsolete (no more required in future).
Requires: the patchs on this list must be installed first.
Incompatibles: the patchs on this list must NOT be installed (cannot coexist with this one).
Packages: package names that this patch will change files.

also if you need extra information of a file, eg: like the command "newfs" bellongs to which package ? as first installed with which persmissions ? and owner ?

you can check "/var/sadm/install/contents" and search "newfs".

Hope it helps,

Carlos Almeida.

Sorry...my "Yes !" is to yes the are installed ....

Regards.

Carlos Almeida,

Thanks Carlos Almeida,

The patchs listed with patchadd -p are in fact installed,
"patchadd -p or showrev -p", displays a list of the patches currently applied, from your example, eg:

Patch: 107546-02 Obsoletes: Requires: Incompatibles: Packages: SUNWxwpsr

Patch id 107546 revision 02 is installed, and applies to SUNWxwpsr Package (OpenWindows), no obsolete any patch id,no require any other patch first installed, and have no imcompatible patchs.

Regards,

Carlos Almeida,
