Hi Guys,
We use tlp for patch management, our envoirnment consists of solaris 8 and 10.
Wanted to know are there any other methods other than tlp, which is/are less time consuming?
Also are there any docs for implementing TLP and other patch managment methods if any?

What is TLP? I just put all of my patches out on a NFS share directory and have a script that checks if it is out of date. Then it sends the results over to big brother informing me. Then I can either do it manually or run a script that will do it for me automatically.

Traffic Light Patchtool (TLP).
Basically we run explorer to on the client which needs to be patched the output file is send to a LTP server where a script is run to check for new patches. once the new patches are identified the script packes the scripts. we manually ftp the file back to the unpatched client and apply them using script. It also has patch_order file etc so its quite easy.

Look at my response in this thread about "Solaris Patch Manager". It's an awesome tool.
