I am trying to install a patch as a Domain Admin on a Server 2003 box connected to a domain. I am logged in as a Domain Admin, but it says I don't have permissions to install the patch.

When I login as a local administrator, I am able to install the patch successfully.

My research has not revealed anything conclusive.

Has this happened to anyone here, and if so, did you resolve it?

This is an OS question rather than a hardware question and you would be better off posting in forum931

However as a start I would suggest checking to see whether Domain Admins is in your local Administrator group. It will also be worth posting details of the patch you are trying to apply and the exact error messages (plus any errors received inthe Event Viewer)
