Patch failed to install due to a failure produced by pkgadd.

How are you trying to install the patches? Using the install_cluster script? Are you sure it's pkgadd and not patchadd that is returning the error?
Perhaps try installing one of the patches individually using patchadd /srcdir/123456-01 and see if it provides any more useful error messages. Annihilannic.
