I am looking to make sure I order the correct length of patch cables. I will have a standard 2 post rack with 96 port patch panel, then some wire management (horizontal), then my main switch. How long of a patch cable would be recommended for nice flow through the cable management?
7', 10', or 14'?

how far from the switch to the patch panel

I would think 3' or 5' depending on the distance involved , certainly no more than 7'

I am now looking at also some vertical wire management for the sides of the rack, so now I'm probably thinking I'll need the 7'-10' length since I'll be moving from one rack (wire) to another rack (switches).

i would take a piece a string and go from the farthest corner of each patch panel and judge the size by that .

that way if you need to change ports/switchs for any reason you have enough
