Hi

I don't think anybody understood what I was trying to get across, or maybe I did not explain it thoroughly enough or precisely enough. Let me try again!!

I make an 8 page newspaper every week in pagemaker, I make the front page, classified page and trade advertisements page separately. When these pages are complete I select all the items on the page, copy and paste it into a separate eight page laydown.

In the original layout page everything fit - once I move the copied text/illustrations/pictures to this new location text seems to move, sometimes getting bigger and sometimes getting smaller, but they do not fit as they did on the sheet which I originally made up the page.

Hope this sounds a bit clearer

Thanx

Newton: why don´t you start with a master page and first page,
then add as many pages as necessary ? This would solve all problems.
Because you can select any page in an arbitrary order, this will not
slow down the process.
Nevertheless, your workflow is OK, I never encountered distortions like this.
The only difference may be, that I copy, THEN I load the new document
and paste there, insrtead of opening two windows.
Normally, copied parts carry all the attributes of all elements (not the
grid or guide lines). May be it is a conflict with predefined attributes
in the target document. ---Gernot
