I have an application which submits a request job to a mainframe and then retrieves a text file. I do a great deal of formatting depending on the request and then create a report in excel. Currently I am looping through a query recordset and writing the values to excel. At some point I saw code to simply paste the entire recordset but can't find it now. I am looking for this because on larger reports our pc's are hanging up (excel is not responding) and hopefully I can simply paste the recordset and get past this problem.

Can anyone help me ?

Thanks,

Chuck

What about the MS query engine that's in Excel? (Data > Get External Data... > New Database Query, etc.) Save your last-level query in Access or whatever form, and link through Excel; data stays current.
