Pasting and Layers in Photoshop

Is there a way to continue to paste multiple object onto one layer? Every time you paste an object a new layer is started. The reason being I am pasting about 250 objects, the same entity and I do not want to have 250 layers. Thanks

Do the 'paste' and it will appear on a new layer. Then simply COMMAND>E to merge that new layer with the one below. Just repeat this each time you paste and you remain with only one layer.

Make it even easier by creating a shortcut key on an action....

merge layers

DBX
(Try it my way, it might work...)
