Hello,
I'm using Peoplesoft 8 Query, and I have a prompt that asks for a SSN. I'd like to be able to paste a comma delimited list from excel into the prompt and get the data for everyone in the list. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Looks like no-one got back to you. Not sure if this still any use, but you can create an expression to take a string of values from a prompt. Define the prompt to be a character field long enough to take the values including format commas and quotes. Create an expression for example... A.SSN in :)1) and add it to your criteria. You may need to modify the expression depending on the database for it to work. eg in DB2, this expression is your left expression - but you need to add 'and 1, operand is =, right expression is 1 -

eg A.SSN in :)1) and 1 =1 - and this will allow a string to be put in.

Hope this helps.
