paste fields from one form to another rotates them

Hi - I have a pdf we use for an online form, created from a word document. I had to make changes to the calculations for the online form, and this involved hanging the date which was on the word document, not the pdf. (snarl) So now, I want to copy and paste all the text fields from one pdf to another so I don't have to recreate the whole thing. Every time I do this the pasted fields are rotated 90 degrees! I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong, and rotating either of them doesn't change the outcome - the pasted fields are still rotated 90 degrees from the original. Can anyone enlighten me on this?
