Paste fields end up sideways!?

I'm trying to paste my form fields from one form into another, and when I do, they always end up rotated 90 degrees - they're sideways on the page. The page has the same orientation as the original. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it? I'm using acrobat 6.0 Pro. Thank you! I really don't want to have to re-create all of these form fields, and set up the calculations again.
