I am well versed in VB, ADO and SQL but I am just starting to program in ASP. I have written some asp pages for a basic bulletin board, which grab up the user input and writes it to an SQL database. I am looking for a way for the user to paste the contents of their local clipboard into some sort of a control that I can then pass to an SQL database image field.

The whole point of this is for someone to be able to paste a screen shot along with some verbage when making a post. I am hoping there is a really obvious answer that I just haven't stumbled onto yet.

Thanks!
Karen

Not sure this will help you, but you can write your own VB component or you can use very good 3rd party component
using it, your users will be able to locate screenshot file on their PCs and upload it either to database or folder. As far as I remember, it's $99 for single license.
