Hey all, I was sent here from the Microsoft Office forum.
I have two tables in my inventory database. One lists Current inventory items and the second one lists Removed items. In the past I thought I moved records from the Current table to the Removed table by Cutting the record and using Paste Append but now I get the following error message:
"The value you entered isn't valid for this field. For example, you may have entered text in a numeric field or a number that is larger than the FieldSize setting permits."
I click ok:
"The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data."
I click ok and I get the "look in Paste Errors" error message table. I was certain I was following the same process I always have but now I'm not sure. I tried Copying the record instead of Cutting but I get the same message. Here are the steps I'm following:
1-Select record
2-Edit\Cut or Edit\Copy
3-Go to Removed table
4-Edit\Paste Append
5-Get error message
Have I forgotten my process and now I'm doing something wrong? I haven't done this since last year so maybe I'm missing a step. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
