past calender events missing

we have groupwise 8 installed on a windows server 2003 machine
been working fine since November 2010, on Friday a user
noticed that past calender events exceeding 1 month
is missing, when i go to the groupwise 8 client
on the 366 day view none of the past calender events are
being shown in bold... ive checked the view settings on the groupwise client.. this issue is just not happening with 1 user
which leads me to think its a global setting some where
any other steps i can follow to try and troubleshoot

the fix was a global setting in console 1 that automatically
archives appointments after 68 days
