Can anyone suggest a password script for this problem...
I need to set up a password for a forum that will accept a members password, but only allow access after the member has made 'n' amount of posts within other forum's. I see that it must refer to a database which I have already to check posts, but none of the available ones I have found can do this.

how about a cgi?

1 - set up a directory for data
2 - create a .dat file for each user
3 - each time the user submit a post, you open their .dat file and your cgi increments the value by one.

then, when any user signs up to the exclusive forum, your cgi opens their .dat file, and if the value > n, they get in. if not, they get a alert box, or directed to a new page, or whatever you choose.

just an idea...

if you have any questions about this, let me know, or try the perl forum.
