I want to password protect against anyone opening, seeing and or updating my Crystal Reports code.

I looked for a Crystal "Save As" that would offer password protection but did not see the option

Is this possible.....?????

Thanks

Hi Ed,

Can you not simply change the saved .rpt file properties via windows so that the general attribute is read only?

Read-Only will probably not prevent someone from opening a CR file and viewing your settings and formulas. Unfortunately, there is no way currently or protecting an RPT. I believe that programmers can use a DSR file that compiles into a VB app, but not for an RPT. Ken Hamady
