Have you tried to boot into safe mode with no password? If that works, you can set all of the other passwords from there.

You still need a password in safe mode for XP.

has a download to create a bootable CD (obviously need burner) which enables you to reset XP passwords.

I mentioned safe mode with *no* password because most Dells are shipped from the factory that way these days. It could be that other mfg do the same with the XP OS. It's worth a try don't you think?

RuralGuy - with the Administrator account? Yes - but if no password, you don't need safe mode. My point was just that you need same password (or lack of) to get into safe mode as normal mode.

They have a linux based boot disk (floppy) that can reset Administrator passwords in Windows 2000/XP. I've used it many times, works great.
