I used to have a list of the wildcard characters that one could NOT use in passwords for MS-Access security, however, I can't seem to find it and I've done searching on this forum and on the web.

Can someone please provide me with the list or a link where I can get the list?

TIA

Dave,

From MS Access help:
Code:
A password can be 1 to 14 characters long and can include any characters except ASCII character 0 (null).

Thanks for the response.

However, I thought certain characters, like question marks, commas, forward slashes, backward slashes, etc were not allowed.

And I'm certain I read that somewhere but when I looked at the Security FAQ I didn't find anything there either. I'm a little concerned about the online help because I have found other inaccurate information there.

Anyone else know for sure?

Thanks,

Dave

Found it!

On pages 719-721 of "Microsoft Access 2000 Power Programming" by F. Scott Barker:

'...and reserved characters-- "/\[]:|<>+=;,?* --can't be used.'

Hope this helps anyone else.
