Hello Everyone

I just set up wireless (HP E-MSM-720) for the internal employees and everything is working good so fare.

The login page at the Wireless LAN Controller is configured to HTTP.
When the users authenticate to use the wireless and the PCs receive one IP from the WLAN Controller and the PCs can not PING each other.
But the PCs can PING the WLAN controller/gateway, external websites and Internet Company DNSs

I am not sure about the security of Wireless Controller and sniffing, beause we don`t have the security certificate

Do you think that the authenticated users can sniff others password, username, internet activities...?

Thank

Best regards

Tri

I understand the words "PC firewall", is the OS firewall or software firewall

For example: The users or guests come with their own laptop PC and I don`t know about the laptops PCs have PC firewalls or not
Do you think that bad users can sniff others password, username, all kind of internett activites, while the PC firewall is off or not installed and no PING each other?

Thanks

Best regards
Tri

By default windows 7 firewall blocks ICMP. Which means it will not respond to pings. If you have guests logging into your network you should take appropriate actions to maintain security. Blocking ICMP packets is one of those precautions you should continue to use on all network PCs.
